DDP Cosmos

Dramaturgs work in the connections. 

In the night sky, the moon reflects, and the stars burn. The planets orbit on their paths. Only in moments of quiet and darkness can we see their luminescence.

At DDP, we believe that stories thrive in a constellation of collaborators. Each writer, dramaturg, director, or actor possesses their own brilliance. Through collaboration, we offer reflection that helps illuminate an artist’s ideas and intentions.  We work in that harmonious space of multiple orbits, rhythms, and artistic impulses. We believe in uplifting each other, working in partnership, and creating through shared paths across borders, mediums, and perspectives.

To support our growing transnational community, DDP will coordinate its programming across two parallel regional spheres: Prism and Cosmos. While Prism continues DDP’s offerings for artists across Turtle Island, Cosmos will make the same impactful DDP programming logistically accessible to artists in Asia and Oceania. By leaning into the digital technologies that make these cross-border partnerships possible, we transcend geographic barriers so that playwrights and dramaturgs can easily find new collaborators, seed long-term artistic relationships, and open doors to future opportunities.

This fall, The Match returns with a dedicated focus on building these regional networks. Our upcoming cycle will prioritize opportunities for playwrights from Asia and Oceania to join the 2026 cohort and encourage greater global creative exchange.
