What kind of plays are you excited to read?

I love plays that take risks – work that surprises, stretches the imagination, and opens new ways of seeing. I’m excited by unconventional approaches to character and world-building, experiments with form and theatricality, and techniques and structures drawn from non-Euro/Western traditions. Plays that engage with cross-cultural and global perspectives are particularly compelling. I’m especially drawn to stories that explore the frictions and possibilities that emerge when different histories, languages, values and taboos collide, and that interrogate what it means to be a citizen of an interconnected and interdependent world.

I work best with playwrights who are bold, curious, and committed to deep collaboration over time — artists who value rigorous conversation and aren’t afraid to rethink and rewrite. I’m eager to partner with writers who want a dramaturg as a true collaborator, helping the work grow sharper, stranger, and more fully alive.

How would you describe your process?

I start with establishing a clear understanding of what is driving you to write this play and tailor my approach to best help you get from where you are to where you want to be. It is important to me that playwrights are active conversation partners and are not waiting for me to take the lead.
