She believes in a rewilding of the arts ecology, allowing for true liberation within the institutionalization of the arts.
What kind of plays are you excited to read?
I’m looking for plays that are genre bending, and hold space for marginalized people in different lights (which can also just be a regular story about the global majority). I want your queer, genderf*ck, political “this should probably be performance art” work. I am interested in having conversations with you about how this work is engaging with the world we currently live in. I am interested in a story, and characters rather than people sitting and talking about the social conditions.

I am NOT looking for TYA, one person shows*, musicals or adaptations.
*I could be convinced but it’s not typically my jam.
How would you describe your process?
I usually like to read the text, give feedback (will write it out then talk to about it) its very question forward, and I am often also thinking about stage performance so the directors or actors interpretation and if it’s clear that it’s what you as a playwright are interested in. I like for our meetings to be active, so will have sent notes or will have notes on new text prior to meeting. We can also meet to just discuss certain concepts. Happy to do research and pull references when relevant.
Location/Time Zone
Primarily Toronto Canada. EST.
The Match communication preference
Email is preferred but like if it’s not email worthy a text would be ok. I’m pretty on it with responses and will not be into an impromptu meeting. I’m generally flexible for booking meetings, but love a schedule. Just need open communication for re-scheduling or if something is not completed
